Shortly after graduating with a degree in business management and spending time working at a large corporation in London, UK, John decided to transition to a purpose-driven career, one that would allow him to work with and for a variety of small and large social ventures, both local and international. After years of working for different social impact organizations, he embarked on a new career path as a fundraising strategist and facilitator. In this new adventure, he works with small non- profits from different sectors, supporting them in developing funding proposals, planning and actioning online fundraising campaigns, developing fundraising plans and strategies, planning and coordinating events, and co-creating funders’ stewardship plans.

Frankie (they/them) is a queer Filipino settler currently located on unceded Algonquin Territory (Ottawa). A former Vice President External Affairs of the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association and coordinator of the LGBT+ Centre, Frankie has extensive experience working on initiatives and events which advocate for members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities, racialised peoples, migrant workers, and people with disabilities. They completed a Bachelor’s of Arts Honours degree in History, focusing on topics in social, labour, and immigration history. In recent years, Frankie has been facilitating workshops on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Gender Diversity. These days, Frankie continues to be a passionate community organizer, coffee professional, amateur artist, and cat parent. Well versed in communications, HR, and issues of social justice, Frankie is eager and able to work on/for a variety of situations and organizations.
